<p><strong>Job Role:</strong></p>
<p>To provide administrative support to the Tenant Support department and to provide regular administrative support to other departments will include:</p>
<ul>
<li>Assisting the Tenant Support officer with administration relating to new tenancies, complaints (ensuring that they are dealt with promptly and effectively, maintaining accurate records.</li>
<li>To liaise with tenants and support workers, providing  support as necessary.</li>
<li>To communicate with housing benefit offices regarding housing benefit claims.</li>
<li>To assist with reception duties, deal with post and meet and greet clients and provide with provide with refreshments.</li>
<li>To assist with administration of the maintenance dept, statutory contracts and accounts dept.</li>
<li>To take, type up and distribute minutes of meetings.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Personal Attributes:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Must possess excellent (verbal and written) communication skills</li>
<li>Housing knowledge i.e having worked for a housing association.</li>
<li>Some knowledge of the benefits system.</li>
<li>Good all round administration skills</li>
<li>A social services background and/or understanding of -would  be preferred.</li>
<li>A &#8220;can do &#8221; flexible approach to work is essential.</li>
</ul>

<p><strong>Salary £17, 000 &#8211; rising after qualifying period</strong></p>
<p><strong>Job Role:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>To handle general sales administration related to Spares Management customers.</li>
<li>To handle all quotes and sales orders within the Spares Management team which will include entry of quotes and sales orders on to the computer system.</li>
<li>To scan quotes and sales orders, assist with progress of outstanding orders, deal with telephone queries and receive and send faxes.</li>
</ul>
<p>Following the training period duties will be expansive and include but not be limited to:</p>
<ul>
<li>Management of <strong>Customer Accounts </strong>allocated by the department manager.</li>
<li>Maintaining and developing relationships with customers via meetings, telephone calls and email.</li>
<li>Identifying and generating new business opportunities and visiting existing and potential customers.</li>
<li>Gathering market and client information </li>
<li>Negotiation and advising on product developments.</li>
<li>Liaison with suppliers, internal depts and customers.</li>
<li>Research via use of company database (CAFAM), ILS computer  database, manuals and supplier information.</li>
</ul>
<p> <strong>Personal attributes:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Would suit a team player with a &#8220;can do&#8221;, pro-active approach to work</li>
<li>Must possess excellent communication skills (written and verbal) with the ability to build rapport quickly. </li>
<li>Good Numeracy.</li>
<li>Fast, accurate data entry skills, with strong attention to detail.</li>
<li>Good working knowledge of MS office skills.</li>
<li>Knowledge of aerospace related products and companies is desirable</li>
</ul>

<p>The post requires someone who is passionate about children/students and families learning to cook an exciting range of healthy, savoury dishes using a wide range of fresh ingredients and cooking styles from around the world.  They must be very aware of safety and hygiene in the kitchen and hold the relevant certificate.</p>
<p>Many of the children who attend the cookery sessions come from an underprivileged community and will have had little or no experience of activities of this kind.  The application will need to be sensitive to the needs of each individual child/student and develop relationships of mutual respect with them. They must build up a good positive working relationship with each individual student and help them to achieve their potential in preparation and cooking skills in the kitchen.</p>
<h3>Key requirements:</h3>
<ul>
<li>A good sense of humour, patience and understanding is essential</li>
<li>A motivated and organised self-starter with initiative and drive; able to work with the minimum of supervision, good knowledge of all types of food from around the world.</li>
<li>A passion for good healthy fresh food</li>
<li>A Strong team player</li>
<li>A Positive attitude to work, as well as hard working</li>
<li>Versatility and flexibility</li>
<li>Basic First Aid and up to date Basic Hygiene certificate is essential</li>
<li>Experience with Environmental Health Officers and their rules and regulations</li>
<li>Must undergo an enhanced CRB police check</li>
<li>Professional Knowledge</li>
<li>Awareness and knowledge of the Children’s Act.</li>
<li>A general awareness and knowledge of charity organisations and the voluntary sector would be desirable.</li>
</ul>

<p>The school operates an equal opportunities policy which must be addressed by Staff, Trustees, Management Committee and pupils at all times.</p>
<p>They must be prepared to help any child/student or helper in anyway to accommodate the individual needs.</p>
<p>The applicant must have enormous patience when working with children/students, good self-esteem, and be capable of handling difficult and sometimes awkward situations.  The applicant must be assertive and in control with an emphasis on understanding the individual need of the child, and must be able to show authority with kindness to receive recognition of respect (this applies particularly to children with severe behavioral difficulties).</p>
<p>The applicant must have a good sense of humour, be a good and strong team player and remain calm and sensitive at all times.</p>
<p>They must want and enjoy a challenge, as they will often be confronted with many such moments. General philosophy towards working with all children, with particular emphasis on those with special needs/ disabilities:</p>
<p>To be sensitive to and compassionate towards the special needs of children with disabilities and/or learning difficulties at all times, to develop communication skills with such individuals, to make sure that emphasis is always placed on what they CAN do rather than on their limitations and to share their attainments with people important to them.</p>
<p>To line manage the Cookery Teacher, Kitchen Assistant and any volunteers to keep up the running of the kitchen.</p>
<p>To increase recognition and awareness of children with special needs who attend the school.  To actively promote social inclusion.</p>
<p>To be willing to undertake an area of special responsibility within the school relevant to the all-round development of children with special needs, to further their own skills in this area and to regularly update other members of The Kids&#8217; Cookery School staff team on information received.</p>
<p>Areas of responsibility might include:</p>
<p>Children with dyslexia and/or dyslexia, autism/Asperger&#8217;s syndrome, sensory impairments, cerebral palsy, mobility difficulties, working with all parents, working with families with a child with disabilities, government policies regarding S.E.N, The Children&#8217;s Act</p>
<p>To develop good working relationships with other parties associated with the children who attend the school. To be aware of and respect Individual Education programmes designed for particular children by their school and to attend relevant meetings at their school when requested. To renew and update Basic First Aid and Basic Hygiene qualification.</p>
