 SALARY: £12 PER HOUR

THE ROLE:

The main purpose of this role is to assist with the business support, administration, coordination and delivery of the Community Hubs. The post holder will work with Community Solutions, other services across the council, and partners to ensure the hub and any activities delivered there are well organised and professionally run. The post holder will initially be based on site at the Community Hubs in Feltham and Hounslow.

You will work closely with any partners who are co-located with Community Solutions at the hubs, e.g. Health, DWP, Education and Skills, Community Safety, and Voluntary and Community services, to promote joint working, making every initial contact by a resident count.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • To act as a friendly and approachable first point of contact for residents visiting the Community Hubs, welcoming them into the space and helping them to find the right services to support their needs.
  • Assist in the day to day running of the hub, including getting the venue ready each day for services to be delivered and setting-up/packing away before and after activities.
  • Be responsible for helping people to access ICT facilities on site, getting them set up on computers and ensuring they are correctly logged off afterwards, in keeping with data security protocols and GDPR.
  • To help in the planning and delivery of the activities programme at the hub, helping with tasks such as coordinating bookings when required.
  • To ensure all administration to support the running of the Community Hubs is completed to the required standard and within the necessary timeframes.
  • To respond to enquiries quickly so that opportunities can be maximised, advising local community groups on how they can get involved in delivering an activity at the hubs.
  • To manage the feedback programme so that feedback is gained from all residents attending the hubs.
  • To proficiently use a wide range of Microsoft Office software including Excel, Outlook, Powerpoint and MS Teams.
  • To work collaboratively with colleagues and make a proactive contribution to delivering council objectives and priorities in alignment with both corporate and departmental aims and priorities.
  • To be adaptable and flexible in approach to day to day work, responding to changing priorities.
  • To adhere to the Council’s policies, procedures and values and behaviours.
