Overview

Our Canterbury based food production client is looking for a Production Line Quality Controller to join their busy team.

Salary: Up to £13.79 per hour – Overtime paid after 48 hours at 1.25

Days: Sunday to Thursday or Tuesday to Saturday 12 Hour Shifts

The Role

  • Undertaking quality control procedures as per the quality management system and completing the associated documentation genuinely and legibly, filed appropriately.
  • Undertaking inspections and checks at specific standards to ensure that the fruit and product meets customer and legislative requirements and traceability procedures.
  • Highlighting and communicating any quality trends or product non-conformance to the QC Manager immediately.
  • Engage, manage and motivate the team working on the line to ensure optimum level of productivity and fruit utilization. Training, daily team briefing sessions, setting standards for packing.
  • Ensure production plans and stock sheets are followed.
  • Ensure Compliance data and Quality control processes are maintained to BRC/Customer standard and if required assist to internal / external audits.
  • Maintain a healthy business relationship between FWM and its customers, growers and suppliers ensuring you communicate to QC Manager when needed.
  • Service levels are maintained at above 99.9% and match customer’s expectations.
  • Work as an effective team, making sure that workload has an equal share between all of team members.
  • Ensuring full flexibility within Online QC department. When necessary cover for members of the QC Team including Intake/ Outloading QC.
  • Provide training for new QC team members.
  • Ensure all equipment is calibrated daily / as required; need to be treated, handled with care and maintained in good condition. Ensuring Health & Safety, food safety and hygiene standards are maintained and adhered to
  • Following QC Manager’s work instructions due to seasonal changes and quality trends.
