Overview

We are seeking a reliable and safety-conscious Traffic Marshall to join our team at a busy Recycling Centre. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the flow of vehicles on-site, guiding members of the public, and ensuring that only conforming waste is brought into the facility in line with site regulations.

Salary: £12.21 per hour working hours 0700 to 1600

Key Responsibilities:

    • Direct and manage the safe movement of vehicles entering and exiting the site

    • Check incoming loads to ensure all waste materials conform to the site’s accepted waste types

    • Politely advise visitors on where and how to dispose of their waste properly

    • Prevent non-conforming or hazardous waste from being deposited

    • Maintain a clean and orderly traffic flow throughout the centre

    • Liaise with site operatives and supervisors to report any incidents or irregularities

    • Follow all health and safety procedures and wear PPE at all times

    • Provide excellent customer service to the public and contractors using the site
